- 2012 Regional Science Fair
Participants from Gr 5 to Gr 12 present their project to judges who will select the team that will participate at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Charlottetown PEI in May 2012.
- 14th Festival of Science
Many science activities are planned for this week-long Festival. Traveling exhibits, guest speakers, science experts and specialists participate in this annual event.
- 2012 Science on the Go
Teams of 4 solve problems in 3 events using logic and common sense.
- Summer Science Expedition
Summer Science camp is filled with challenges and hands-on-activities. It runs for 34 days with 34 different themes in Science and Technology.
- Water Project
Participants are challenged to design and build a model that demonstrate the importance of water in their daily life and its usage and applications in our society.
- 2012 Regional Robotics Challenge
Teams will be assigned many tasks from rescue to Suma wrestling; participants show their skills in controlling robots.

Science Timmins strives to demystify science by making it accessible to all age groups through a wide variety of events presented throughout the year. Our mission is to provide opportunities to individuals of all ages to Play, Discover and Learn for the love of science.

- Science Timmins Book of Records
Science Timmins is initiating a new Book of Records that will contain all records established during all of our activities throughout the year.
- Summer Science Expedition
Summer Science Camps will be offered during the months of July and August for children from 5 to 13 years of age. They can register on a daily or weekly basis. Each day involves a different program described as Fun with Science.
- Water Projects
Science Timmins is inviting students to present a project dealing with water and its importance in our society. Selected projects will be displayed at the Timmins Children Water Festival to be held May 23 & 24, 2012.
- Regional Robotics Challenge
The Regional Robotics Challenge will be held on May 3, 2012. Teams will show their programming skills
